Hello

Hi, I am Dylan! I am a queer and trans therapist whose clinical work is deeply influenced by my lived experience as a person in recovery from developmental trauma + drugs/alcohol. People who work with me are often seeking to heal old patterns that are interfering in their ability to live a life they can feel proud of. I am especially curious about the way the social world intersects with, and co-shapes, our internal world. I am committed to bringing an awareness of intersectionality to my counseling work, and acknowledge the way oppression and racism affect emotional, spiritual, physical, and mental well-being.

My more recent professional development has included pursuing certification as a Sex Therapist via AASECT, and working towards NARM Therapist certification. I also have extensive training and experience working with those struggling with unhealthy realtionships to substances/addiction. These modalities have allowed me to continue to work with people, focusing on C-PTSD, developmental trauma, and attachment wounds. I use a truama-responsive, holistic framework to explore how individuals can  re-gain agency over their lives.

I supervise associate therapists who provide queer and trans affirming therapy, and general therapeutic support for LGBTQIA+ people. Check out www.rhizomewellness.org to learn more about our general therapy practice.
